Home Videos of Mackenzie

Goofing off at the dinner table.

Pretending and playing around at the house.

Strolling Down The Street

Mackenzie loves the stroller April gave us. We are to keep it at Mem and Papaw's, but brought it back because she loves it so much. (Don't worry Ape, we will be sending it back once she starts walking more.) Speaking of walking, Mackenzie took her first 5 steps-all at once-last week. I was so excited that I started screaming and she stopped. HA! I did have witnesses, too.

Perry Family Reunion 2012

We had the annual Perry Family Reunion at Orange Beach, AL this year. We went down Wednesday to Ben's cousin's condo. Wednesday and Thursday were the only two days it did not rain. We were able to only go to the beach for a photo :(. We did have a relaxing trip though.

Yours,

Amy

Memorial Day Weekend

First stop for the holiday weekend was at Vivi and Pops in Laurel. We cooked out for lunch there and headed back after seeing everyone in their neighborhood. It was a great day and Mackenzie stayed on her routine (happy baby, happy Mom and Dad).

On Memorial Day, we invited around seven families to grill out at the house for lunch. Some were old friends and some we made yesterday. We are so fortunate to have a lot of military in our neighborhood. So, we invited a few to join in on the fun.

You know, Ben and I don't need a yearly holiday to remind us of all they do and have done for our great county. We are blessed to wake up daily and be reminded. Anyway, everyone had a blast! They arrived at 11 and left at 5. (It must have been a hit!) We had deer burgers, hot dogs, chips and dip, baked beans (which I forgot to put on the table and am left with!!!!!) and wonderful ice cream desserts.

After everyone ate, a game of baseball was started by Rick Maddox. It was Grownups vs. Kids. The Grownups won at the end. Yes, it was 95+ degrees outside, but the memories and fun we had were priceless.

Mackenzie's First Swim

I packed up after Mother's Day and headed to Florence with Mackenzie. (Ben had a coach's clinic in Alabama) I called Sandy to see if they were in town because we wanted to come over, hang out and swim with Callie.

You will have to see to pictures below to see Mackenzie's excitement. The water was a little cold, then felt just right after we moved around a little. We are definitely going to have to get Mackenzie in swimming classes next year or the next because she loves the water! We go to Orange beach in a few weeks and I cannot wait to see her react to the sand and maybe the ocean (we will see about that).

My First Mother's Day

What a wonderful day Mother's Day was for me this year! We started off in a mad dash to get to Sunday School on time--yes, we did it! Mackenzie wore an adorable outfit that Ann Thornton sent to us in the mail. (See below) Ben and I realized fast that we will have a meal prepared at home next Mother's Day because evidently every mother is taken out to eat. I was amazed how ALL the restaurants were packed. We decided to go home and eat a sandwich. (perfectly fine to me!)

Mom and Dad came down to celebrate the day with us and we opened a few gifts, then went to get supper at Newks. The day was relaxing and it made me realize how blessed I am. I have a great family. :)
