Goofing off!

Mom and I taking a break from the wedding stuff!

The Florence Shower

First, I want to start this blog off by telling all of you how blessed I am. I had the most overwhelming shower in Florence on May 23. Yes, the gifts were nice, but the turnout was unbelievably touching and a moment I will never forget. I haven’t seen a lot of family and friends in a long time and I was able to catch-up with them—only briefly. There were an abundant amount of gifts; most of my time was focused on opening each special gift.

Mrs. Suzanne Poynor opened her home to around 75+ guests. WOW! It makes me choke-up. I was telling one of my best-friends tonight that my biggest worry on the big day is crying like a baby. I have waited five long years for this and it is finally going to happen.

Most people know that Ben is staying in Hattiesburg while I am at my parent’s home in Florence. I love being home, but it sure is tough being so far from him for almost a month. I am use to seeing him everyday! He came and stayed last weekend, and I teared up seeing him drive out of the driveway. So, I am now getting antsy. Waking up each morning and crossing a day off the calendar. 10 days left! ...And yes! I am ready!!

Counting Down the Days....

June 19th is getting closer and closer. Ben and I cannot wait until we can join both of our lives. We were just texting and he is currently lying on the couch with pink eye. Poor baby!

Well, to leave you with the countdown, as of June 3, we have 16 days until the wedding!!

Laurel Shower

Ben and I attended the Laurel shower together on Sunday, May 16 hosted by Anna W. Thornton, Ms. Tammy Lewis, and Ms. Gail Saul. We were anxious to get to Laurel to see friends and family we have not seen in a while.

As you can tell, we enjoyed our shower. We were showered with wonderful gifts and well wishes.

Yours,

Amy

Couples Shower in Hattiesburg

Two of my bridesmaids and best-friends, Becca Tharp and Beth White McKay, hosted a couple's shower at Ben and Becca Tharp's home in Hattiesburg on May 15 at 6:30 p.m. It turned out amazing! There was plenty of food and we were able to spend time with some friends we haven't seen in a while. Ben and I were showered with things around the house and we got some pretty cool stuff.
